Ricardo brings 20+ years of medical care and pressure injury expertise to Wave. He is a first-generation American, raised by hard-working farming immigrants from Mexico in southern California, Ricardo earned his education helping disabled people, where he was inspired to study medicine. A UC Davis alumnus, and University of Iowa Medical School graduate, Ricardo is a board-certified vascular surgeon running his own successful specialty practice in Bloomington, Indiana. He is also an angel investor who fueled Wave Therapeutics pre-seed round.
